Relais Alla Corte Del Sole
Welcome to Corte, an old monastic village skilfully turned into a romantic and charming relais, set amidst the most significant expressions of Tuscan art and the Franciscan appeal of unblemished nature.
The Corte del Sole Relais is in the heart of Italy, near Lake Trasimeno, immersed in the colour, fragrance and silence of the surrounding landscape, which emits different effects from season to season and guarantees a peaceful, satisfying stay. Nearby, there are wonderful cities of art such as Cortona, Montepulciano and Siena, which are excellent destinations for those who love travelling through history in search of unique treasures.
Various kinds of rooms have available sitting area and outside terraces in the park surrounding the property. The rooms, all with air-conditioning, colour TV, safe box and telephone, are all different and furnished with valuable antiques: all around you can find precious details, like a fine painting, a canopied or wrought iron bed, drape curtains or soft fabrics, small armchairs and dressing tables.
The details in the architecture are particularly impressive with the history beautifully preserved, such as decorative beams, old wooden doors with their original frame and the stone and terracotta tile floors.
Everything has been carried out with the greatest care for detail, to make every stay comfortable. All bathroom walls are frescoed: flights of butterflies, fronds of ivy, vases and baskets of flowers, curious scenes and details inspired by art history.
At the Relais everything is special: breakfast is a real triumph of delicacies. And not only this… for those who love good cuisine and traditional flavours of the past, you can find here a characteristic wine cellar where you may try a large variety of typical local products together with the best selection of Italian wines.
Thanks to its particular structure and its various facets in terms of hospitality, the Relais can offer the guests at the same time comfort and freedom for a pleasant stay.

Fine Dining -
Restaurant
Time spent in our new restaurant is quite an event, whether you dine on the covered terrace overlooking the beautiful landscape or in the refined atmosphere of the dining room. After opening the restaurant in the summer of 2005, our guests now enjoy fully the owners' experience in the art of dining, with a menù that skilfully elaborates both tradition and innovation.
Breakfast
In an elegantly furnished dining room, with an old Tuscan style and a warm atmosphere, the Relais offers its guests an Italian and international buffet breakfast that satisfies every need. It is a pleasant and relaxing moment of the day, something to remember and to talk about when you are back home from your vacation.
The wine-cellar
During their stay, guests can visit our ‘cantina’—wine cellar—where they can taste or purchase wine, products both from our zone and from various Italian regions, and try some delicious snacks.

Guided Tours Tour guides and transportation are made available to guests in order to give them the opportunity to visit nearby cities and places of special interest, such as Cortona with its museums, ancient streets and Etruscan tombs, or Montepulciano, Castiglion del Lago, Siena, Montalcino and Pienza, all with their own monuments, historical squares and enchanting views.
Our goal is to make our guests stay as pleasurable as possible, thus we also suggest specific iteneraries in Tuscany and Umbria that can also be organized through the Relais with an expert guide who collaborates with us. These are daily excursions for either singles or couples, and for small or large groups. Usually our tourist guide, who specializes in the wine region, gets into the car or bus with the clients, and while driving gives detailed information while answering any question or request.

Excursions
Chianti Wine Tour:
A whole day in the wine region between Siena and Florence, visiting castles, villages, and farms that produce in their cellars the famous red wine “Chianti Classico”, the dessert wine “vinsanto”, and balsamic vinegar that has been aged for twenty years, and also visiting a grappa distillery where they describe the methods of production, the cellars used for aging, and the museum.
Montepulciano and Montalcino Wine Tour:
A daily excursion in the southern area of Siena, visiting old wine cellars and tasting two famous red wines, “Nobile” di Montepulciano and “Brunello” di Montalcino, having a taste of the “Pecorino”cheese in Pienza, living the spiritual atmosphere of S. Antimo Abbey, listening to the Gregorian chants and enjoying the hot water baths of Bagno Vignoni.
Siena and San Gimignano: Two of the best art cities in Italy and known as the “Towers” cities: two wonderful places not to be missed during your Tuscan holiday with the chance to taste the famous white wine “Vernaccia” of S. Gimignano.
Assisi,Torgiano and Deruta: Religion and art in the city of S. Francis, wine and olive oil museums in Torgiano with the tasting of “Rubesco” red wine, and Deruta, the most famous “pottery city” in Italy: an unforgettable daily tour in Umbria.
Orvieto and Civita di Bagno Regio: Far from our relais but easily reached in just one hour by the A1 highway, Orvieto is one of the most preferred destinations of international tourism: the marvellous Gothic Cathedral, the Town Hall, the Palace of the Captain of the People and S. Patrick’s Well, without forgetting to taste the very famous local white wine. A final visit to Civita di Bagno Regio, a medieval “borgo” on the top of a hill, only accessible by a high and narrow bridge, will complete the tour.
Spello, Norcia and Montefalco:
Art in Spello, with the splendid frescoes by Pinturicchio and Perugino, traditional food in Norcia, the “Black Truffle”city and Montefalco, famous for the “Sagrantino”, an excellent red wine, all contribute to an unforgettable day, with locations not found in most tourist itineraries.
