Chateau De Plessis
The Château du Plessis is a comfortable and elegant family home set in 5 hectares of parkland. It is built from tuffa and stones covered by natural lime. The owners, Elizabeth & Gil (British & French respectively) look forward to welcoming you into their home & sharing "la vie de chateau". They will be able tell you about the property and they can recommend visits, local restaurants, as well as wine tasting places.

We have renewed an old octagonal gazebo beside the tennis court. The pattern of coloured tiles on the new roof match with the bricks of various colours on the original walls. This type of building is known in French as a "Fabrique", which means a small pleasure building in the park of a château. The octagonal structure of the roof was renewed by the famous French Guild "Compagnons du Devoir", whose Museum is in Tours. These craftsmen work on the very difficult projects and specialise in listed buildings. They also renewed the 360° lookout on the top of the pigeon loft.
