Built in 1845, in the heart of a park on the Oslo Fjord coastline, Engø Gård has been an idyllic country inn since the twenties. With the old barn converted and an indoor swimming pool it reopened in June 2000, transformed into a superb country house hotel.
Meals at Engø Gård are a gourmet's delight (something restaurant reviewers never fail to mention.) Our chef, Per Hallunbaek, and his accomplished group of waiters and waitresses are determined that your lunch and dinner will be a genuine treat for both palate and soul. As nature is at our doorstep, we use the local raw materials of the season, and the meals we serve reflect a creativity and generosity you will certainly appreciate.
We believe that good wine must complement and balance your meal. Our wine cellar houses more than 2500 bottles representing around 400 labels.
