If you walk down towards the Vieux Port, through the pedestrian streets of Le Suquet district, you will come across numerous restaurants with terraces offering all types of cooking from Provençal to fine gourmet meals, including venues with live entertainment. Notre Dame d’Espérance church stands at the top of the Le Suquet hill, overlooking the city of Cannes. This church dates from the 12th and 16th centuries and includes a 12th century tower with a fine 360° panorama (access via the Musée de la Castre - Musuem)
At the bottom of Le Suquet (which means “small hill” in Provençal), you can visit the Forville Market, renowned for its florists, fruit and vegetables, cheese counters and fish stalls.
Just a 15 minute boat ride takes you to explore the Ile Sainte Marguerite and its fort, as well as the Ile St Honorat with its Cistercian monastery.
You can enjoy magnificent rambles or mountain bike rides in the Massif de l’Estérel, between sky and sea.
You must not leave without travelling the unique Route de la Corniche d’or , the Golden Corniche, (along the coast) going through Estérel and Cannes to St. Raphaël.
