The main lodge is modeled on the lines of an Edwardian country manor overlooking 16 miles of stunning coastal scenery, black volcanic sandy beaches, green pastures, deer forests and cloud-capped mountains.

Chateau Wellington is a 4,600 sq. ft fully furnished three-bedroom house offering the ultimate in privacy and luxury with spectacular views of Palliser Bay.

  • A two-hour scenic drive east of Wellington. Drive from Wellington along State Highway 2 through the Hutt Valley, then to Featherston. Upon entering Featherston, turn Right down Western Lake Road. Wharekauhau is 40 km from this turn. Note: Helicopter transfers are available. Ten minutes from Wellington.
