Whistle Stop Bed and Breakfast is your ski chalet for your stay. We pamper you with home made cookies, warm robes, an outdoor hot tub, afternoon snacks and delicious skiers breakfasts. We are knowledgeable about the area and love to share insider's tips with you.
We make your stay so comfortable that you feel very much at home. A collection of romantic/comedy movies wait to entertain you. You might want to play a game of cards or Balderdash with friends you've made during your stay. You may prefer to curl up in front of the wood stove with a cup of tea and read a book or enjoy the view from the plant-filled sun room. The views of the Continental Divide are breathtaking.
We speak some Spanish and Russian and enjoy meeting people from all over the world. Train enthusiasts can view a variety of trains from our inn. As a matter of fact, the Amtrak stop is just a block and a half from us, so if you decide to travel here by train, we'll come pick you up. You do not need a car here in the middle of the summer or in the winter as there is a free shuttle bus that serves Fraser, Winter Park and the Winter Park Ski Resort.
We are only able to take children when families book the entire inn, as we advertise a "no children" policy and many come to a bed and breakfast as a getaway from all their cares.
We have a no-smoking policy, for our own health as well as that of our guests who do not smoke. Pets can be boarded at a nearby kennel, as we do not accomodate pets.
Our rooms all have queen-sized beds and private baths. There is an additional room that can be combined with one of our rooms to share a bath. Room and bath amenities include clock radios, bedside reading lamps, ample closed and dresser space for your belongings, warm robes, a generous supply of towels in the bath, along with soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, shower caps, and other necessities. Towels for the hot tub are provided as well.
You are welcome to come and go as you please and are given keys to your room and the house during your stay. While we do not share our kitchen, you are welcome to call out for pizza to be delivered, or bring home other to-go food from restaurants on those evenings when you'd rather cocoon than go out.
We are constantly amazed by the fact that couples from different parts of the country always seem to find some common area of interest. Fast friends are made at our bed and breakfast. We hope to meet you soon and earn your friendship as well!
